An important focus of the County’s 2022-25 Plan is to stimulate more competition across the County. The first priority has been identified as competition for our senior players and 2022 sees the launch of the first two initiatives to deliver exactly that:
- The inaugural Durham & Cleveland County Closed Seniors Tournament will be hosted between 21st – 27th August at Blaydon Tennis Club. Entry details are online and open until 14th August, so get your entry in now! The Tournament features competitions for:
- Over 35 Ladies & Men’s Singles and Doubles
- Over 45 Ladies & Men’s Doubles
- Over 55 Ladies & Men’s Doubles
- Over 65 Ladies and Men’s Doubles
- The Seniors @ Shotley & Benfieldside Tournament is a preliminary open competition acting as a taster for the Closed, and takes place over the weekend of 6th – 7th August. Entries for this are open online until 1st August, with competitions for:
- Over 35 Ladies & Men’s Doubles
- Over 50 Ladies & Men’s Doubles
- Over 65 Ladies & Men’s Doubles
