COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PARTNER

Durham & Cleveland LTA has exciting plans to achieve its objective of increasing participation, competition and inclusivity in tennis across all of Durham & Cleveland. We want to recruit an ambitious, enthusiastic person to the role of County Development Partner to drive the delivery of our core goals.

Working in support of the County Executive the successful applicant will partner with our clubs, coaches and LTA counterparts to deliver annually agreed priorities from the County Action Plan. The scope of the targets set will reflect the part-time nature of this self-employed role, with the immediate focus anticipated to be:

  • more Grade 6 and Matchplay junior competitions in more venues in 2025, targeted particularly at players not yet competing regularly
  • extending the range and reach of our inclusive activities to all areas of the County in support of the County’s EDI Plan and team
  • stimulating the development of new coaches and officials needed to support the future growth of tennis in the County
